Angela Lanell is a multidisciplinary artist originally from Pittsburgh, PA, now based in Atlanta, GA. Her connection to art began early, but it was her return to charcoal that defined her voice and direction as an artist.
She holds a B.S. in Graphic Design from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. After stepping away from her craft to pursue a professional career, she ultimately returned to art full-time, led by a clear creative calling.
Her work is rooted in feminine existence, raw emotion, and lived experience. Known for her charcoal on black canvas, layered with acrylic and gold accents, her practice explores identity, resilience, and transformation. Each piece is an expression of becoming, where depth, contrast, and presence take form.
